Look them in their eyes, keep your head high, give a firm handshake...you're a man not a woman! All of these things you told me as a kid. I appreciate them all today, growing up you were always harder on me than my sister I never understood it and it used to make me so mad! Now as a young man I know you were just trying to make what you knew I could be.
Every Thursday night you would pick me up and we'd go get a haircut looking back on it, that day of the week probably met the most to me the older I got, I finally got to talk to somebody that understood me. Living with two women was difficult as a teenager, but whenever they made me mad you'd come talk to me and calm me down. All of these things I'll never forget, you never left me or said you would do something and not do it. I can't stress enough how much I appreciate you. We talk all the time and you've become a best friend the older I get. You support me and guide me in everything I do! You would tell my Sister and I all the time that you loved us no matter what and you meant it, you've been supportive of most everything I do and have done. I remember when I told you I wanted to stop writing and be a photographer you said "Whatever you do son, I'm here for you." That was all I needed to move forward!
So Happy Father's Day Daddy, I pray to be half the man and Father you are.
