Commercial Advertising Photographer: ScottEVest | Will Hawkins Photography

I recently had the opportunity to work on an E-Commerce campaign for the online brand, ScottEVest. As a professional photographer based in Virginia Beach, I understand the significance of thoroughly understanding my clients' visions and desires. For this specific project, the objective was to create clean and captivating visuals that would truly emphasize the product itself. To meet this goal, I implemented a simple yet effective lighting setup in my studio. I placed a fill light on the right side of the camera, alongside a barebulb strobe shot through a 6x6 scrim. Virginia Commercial Photographer | Will Hawkins: Creating Sunlight In-Studio

Virginia Winter can be mild, but the day we took these photos it was 25 degrees (Crazy for Virginia) So I decided to Re-create sunlight in-studio with my model Ashely. One of the most crucial pieces of equipment is professional lighting which can mimic the intensity and direction of natural sunlight. The placement of the lights is also vital. You have to position the light in a way that casts shadows and highlights on the model in a manner that replicates the look and feel of sunlight. I also used a fill light overhead with a diffuser to create the final image, resulting in a shot that looks as if it was taken on a sunny day.
